[Oso],
Sorry for the late response. We’ve been busy with the election and its aftermath.
I took a look at your blog and, while it’s admirable in many ways, I’m afraid I can’t link to it due to the profanity, other language and some of the images.

I emailed him back asking what was “other language” and just what was wrong with “some of the images.”
No offense to anyone, but the our local paper’s directory of weblogs could certainly use someone with some “other language.”
Knowing the Union Tribune, I can’t help but wonder if Jeff is afraid of being eaten by Moreno.

LOL, I knew it. Here’s his response:
[Oso],
It’s a lot of little things that wouldn’t be much by themselves, but would bother folks at my office who don’t even like us having our own blogs, who see providing links as the U-T endorsing other folks’ content: eating people (even in the context of a humor piece), verbal masturbation, the fake breast-grabbing, son a bitch, wetbacks, oral sex, shit, damn…, etc.
Jeff
Actually, I never thought we had a chance of being listed anyway and I would like to commend SignOnSanDiego.com for all that they’ve been able to convince the Union Tribune to let them do. Not many mainstream papers have a link to local weblogs from their index page. Also, content (as conservative as it is) is free and even ad-free using their RSS feeds.
I’m in the process of writing a piece for San Diego Blog on the state of participatory media in San Diego and SignOnSanDiego certainly deserves a lot of the credit for what participation we do have.

Oso… No te preocupes…
I dont think they would like my blog either! Jeje… Saludos, El Gato Negro…
ive never felt prouder about being on this blog…
i’ve never felt proud at all, come to think of it.
I think our friends over at SignOnSanDiego should take a look at Jonathan Swift’s A Modest Proposal if they don’t recognize the literary usefulness of irony and the potential benefits of canibalism.
