I’m sick of people talking about how Bush is an idiot and how much they hate him and how he’s destroying the world; especially when these were people who either voted for him or (even worse) were indifferent and didn’t vote at all. Hating Bush has become a trend, it’s fashionable. Anyone that’s anyone hates Bush. Man I’m so sick of this.

Let me just say yes, we all know, the guy is a fucking moron. The guy is everything that is wrong with this country, and the world in general. The man is a perfect example of how horribly wrong things can go. But let me just ask, where was all this enthusiasm BEFORE the election? Where were these vigilent protests while he was campaigning? Where was the anti-Bush Incubus song during the debates? Why didn’t anyone give a fuck that Ralph Nader was not allowed to participate in the publicly-televised debates? They wouldn’t even let his scary mug sit in the audience! Where were all these voices in unison when African-Americans were NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE!! Yea we all know Bush is an idiot but WHY THE FUCK DIDNT YOU SIGN THAT PETITION AND MARCH IN RALLIES BEFORE THE ELECTION?!?!

I’ll tell you why. You didn’t think things would get this bad. You didn’t see it coming. And you didn’t see it coming because you didn’t know that its all happened before; and since in 50 years no one will remember how bad it was in the early 2000’s, this will all happen again. We’re all idiots. Learn your history.

    ¡Morenote!
I like it when people complain…even if they are idiots have no idea why they are complaing. For example one of my bosses was tyring to decide whether to vote for Kerry or Bush and he told me he decided that since Bush had kept Howard Stern off air he was pissed and going to vote for Kerry. Forget Cuba, Iraq, Guantanamo Bay, US Poverty, US Education, constitutional restrications, God forbid Bush mess with Howard Stern. At this point I don’t care if they are Bush-Bashing cause they are idiots, as long as they spread the word to their idiot friend and we get Bush out. Get him out damnit.

    Elena mi querida,

Clearly you do not understand. Osito? Morenote? If you look at the above pictures of Moreno floating and rocking on my belly it’s quite evident that I’m the Osote and he’s the morenito.

Then again, maybe you were using Spanglish and meaning to say “big moron” which could fit Hari perfectly.

Koreans are in general a lot more interested and knowledgeable in their country’s politics than Americans, and voter turnout ratios are also a lot higher. I think one reason for this is, well, we’re “hungrier,” while Americans have more space and luxury to be indifferent and/or complacent. Right now there is this massive, unprecedented polarity between Bush-supporters and opposers, but this too will probably pass. Once the economy gets back on track and all the chit-chat on foreign policy, etc. dies down, chances are that people will go back to worrying mostly about their daily lives rather than tearing each other apart on politics.

I agree. I think that this presidential term has seen a huge change in political identity, which is now defined by your feelings toward one man. Many are now either pro-Bush or anti-Bush, but there is a fundamental lack of discussion on issues.

I could ask what someone thinks about raising the federal minumum wage and fully expect them to say, “well, I hate Bush.”

Hardly anyone watches their senators and representatives arguing on the issues on CSPAN, but we all turn to CNN, MSNBC, and AM radio to hear sound byte perversions of the issues to confirm our already made up bias of I-Hate-Bush or I-Love-Bush.

On a side note, I’ve tried to discuss specific issues on this website and they generate far less interest than posts saying “I Hate Bush,” which for some reason everyone is compelled to either agree with or disagree with … and loundly.
